Relationship Rehab. Is this the place you go after one too many failed relationships? Is it where you heal before getting into another one? It's probably just a place I made up after feeling like I had given more time to my relationships than I had given to myself. As men, or really people period, we try to escape the hurt by running to other people to temporarily fix it. Anything to avoid dealing with how we feel. Drowning ourselves with more work & more sex because we think that keeps us from being hurt again. I guess if you act like you don't have feelings, they can't be hurt. Yeah that sounds stupid lol. I've been working on this project for awhile. Too long if you ask me. I've been told to "Get out of my feelings" & I wish it was that easy. True enough, my feelings or being in them may be distracting me from other things I NEED to be doing. But you have to know that I wouldn't be me if I wasn't always in my feelings and not afraid of expressing them either. Despite what you THINK you might know, I'm a loving man. And, despite the heartbreaks and pain, I'm still ready to love. One day lol. I've been in rehab for majority of this pandemic. Well, I've also been in the "streets." Some days I think I belong to em. Creating this project has been therapeutic for me. So hopefully now I can get out of my feelings and #HAVEFUN. Overall, the single and rehabbing version of me has become a BETTER version. I pray we all take the time needed to make sure we're ourselves before we attempt to be everything for anybody else! LOVE.
